Panazon is an exciting and original adventure at the intersection of Latin-American music and ragtime.  Hoyle plays six of his original “Transcendental Ragtime” compositions, including “Enchantment” and “The Trickster,” which were both award-winners in the Scott Joplin International Ragtime Foundation Composition Contest.  Hoyle Osborne is joined by percussionist Ken Battat, guitarist Don Armstrong, and bass player Daved Levine.

Panazon is a hot-then-subtle mix of sturdy ragtime and dancing Latin themes – close cousins musically, as virtuoso pianist Osborne and his superb ensemble illustrate in every measure. — Max Morath
